HOW TO LIVE A HAPPIER, HEALTHIER & MEANINGFUL LIFE

I believe, and of course, everyone knows, that a sense of happiness and a fulfilling life do not come to you without discipline. To feel that powerful sense of happiness and feel that you are living a meaningful and fulfilling life, you have to put in the work.

Like, tell me, if you have no purpose in your life, you have no perfectly mapped agenda for the day and that of the coming week, and you don't know what you are going to do, I guess nothing; you will just move in the circles, accomplishing absolutely nothing in the process, and definitely you will harm your physical and mental health. No matter how strong or healthy you are, if you do not have a routine, discipline, and purpose to live life, you will get into a state of feeling depressed and drained mentally and physically.

Many of you are extremely busy in your amazing career, business, building a home, and taking care of your kids and loved ones. You become so busy that you almost forget your mental and physical health; you have no time to look after yourself, and your happiness just goes into the gutter, leaving you depressed and sick.

Mental exercise & mental diet

We all know that we should exercise in order to stay fit and healthy; everyone knows we should eat healthy to be in good health, but how often do we care about our mental health, happiness, and peace? I bet so many people ignore this part of their being; they think that doing things physically will only get the desired result. But this is only half the truth. And the full truth is that your body will always go where your mind goes.

What do I mean to say that? Let me explain in steps

What is mental exercise?

Mental exercise is everything that gives you peace and happiness and regulates unnecessary thoughts from corrupting your mind. When you meditate, it stops those harmful thoughts that come to your mind against you and the people around you, and in that state of mind, you can’t focus on the important goals and dreams you have in your life. So if you keep thinking about what that one single human being said on the internet or in your neighborhood, you will miss focusing on the main goal you had to achieve because your mind can only focus on negative or positive at a time; it can never focus on both.

When you read a good book, you focus on the positivity, motivation, inspiration, and goodness of life and the world, but when you constantly watch news channels and drama-filled daily soap operas, you totally fill your mind with negativity. You should know that the world is constantly trying to enslave your mind. That’s the way they can influence you and make money off of your innocence. What I am saying here is to consciously fill your mind with positivity, master your own mind, and not let other outer forces master it for you. Meditate daily, read good books, and fill your mind with positivity.

If you don’t fill your mind with positivity consciously, you will unconsciously collect all the seeds of negativity from your surroundings. So definitely take charge of what content goes into your brain, which is called a mental diet. The way you think about what to eat and what not to eat is the same way you need to be very conscious of what thoughts you are thinking throughout the day. If you constantly think that your life is no good, be careful because the more you focus on something, the more it grows.

Physical exercise & diet

Along with your mental health, it’s also necessary to take very good care of your physical health and fitness. These days everyone suggests you go hit the gym and lift weights; otherwise, you cannot be fit, but wait, let me make something clear here: it is not necessary to go to the gym in order to be physically fit and healthy.

You can try different types of body movement exercises and select which type of workout best suits you according to your interests, time, and lifestyle. So you can do jogging, running, dancing, swimming, playing any physical game, or simply running. Trust me, no matter what you do, if you are moving your body, its working; you are getting fit and healthy. About diets, I would suggest including all kinds of colorful veggies in your food and drinking plenty of water daily.

I personally don’t count my carbs, calories, proteins, and fats. I just try to listen to my body as much as possible. So if you are eating normal Indian food consisting of chapatis, cooked veggies, a bowl of salad, and some dessert. It’s good for you; you can keep eating that normal homemade diet unless you want to build that body like professional bodybuilders.

You can also take some dietary supplements to achieve your health and wellness goals.

Design your day and week

Do not leave things to chance, as this is the main recipe for disaster. What are your dreams and goals in life? You have to give yourself a blueprint to follow through. So if you are not able to keep up with your diet plan, workout routine, mental peace, and an organized space where you live and work.

In order to avoid this disaster, make a blueprint for yourself. Buy a good notebook and outline your daily and weekly plan on it. Make it as clear as possible. The moment you get up in the morning, take your planner, read it, and follow through with it accordingly.

Once you have a clear-cut blueprint of how to build that home, life, body, or anything, it becomes so much easier to give it a perfect shape; otherwise, you just go in circles and reach nowhere.

Achieve goals in steps

Can you reach the rooftop if there are not steps in the stairs? The answer is no; it’s not possible. Even a small kid can tell that he cannot reach the top if there are no steps on the stairs, where you will put your foot; obviously, you will try and try and try again but will not reach the top.

So the best solution to reach your goals is to divide them into small steps. For example, if you weigh 100 kg right now, do not make a goal to lose 10 kg in 3 weeks; you cannot do that; it’s simply impossible; you will try and try and try again, but because there is no motivation, no progress in between, you will lose every time. So always start with losing just 3 kg of weight in 2 weeks; small goals are easy to achieve; they motivate you to keep going when you see progress and movement.

If your goal is to work out 2 hours a day, start simply with 10 minutes a day. And keep increasing the time as your body and mind get used to this new programming. Once you get into the habit of working out daily, you can increase or decrease time accordingly. So achieve your big goals in steps. Do not try to make high jumps; you will fall every time.
